Veterinary dermatology is the branch that deals with problems related to the animal’s skin, coat, nails and ears. Unfortunately, dermatological problems are very frequent in our animal friends and can depend on parasitic, allergic, infectious, mycotic, neoplastic or autoimmune causes. Despite this, the symptoms are often similar to each other and among the most frequent are: redness, itching, hair loss, nodular or crusted-ulcerative lesions.
A dermatological visit is therefore essential to connect them to the triggering cause and identify the origin of the problem in order to choose the most appropriate cure or treatment.
